Cadet Programs

The CAP Cadet Program is developed around five program elements: Leadership, Character
Development, Aerospace Education, Physical Fitness and activities. To become a cadet, you must be
aged 12 to 18. Cadets meet 3 hours per week and one weekend per month, on average. If you are
interested in a career in aviation, space, or the military, then the CAP cadet program may be the right
place for you. Stop by a meeting, talk to current members and see what CAP is all about!

Special Events

Civil Air Patrol cadets also participate in special events like local parades and fundraising events. We
also do flag risings and opening ceremonies at local events. Civil air patrol also participates in national
events like wreaths across America.
